When I’m not running – Lazy Girl Running
Running is a passion for many people, but for some, like me, it’s not always the main focus. As a self-proclaimed “Lazy Girl Running,” I often find myself taking breaks from my usual running routine. But even when I’m not hitting the pavement, running is still a big part of my life.
So what do I do when I’m not running? Well, for starters, I enjoy staying active in other ways. Whether it’s hiking, cycling, or even just going for a leisurely walk, I make sure to keep moving even on my “off” days. By staying active in different ways, I not only maintain my fitness level but also prevent burnout from overtraining.
In addition to staying active, I also focus on rest and recovery when I’m not running. As important as it is to stay active, it’s equally important to give your body time to rest and recuperate. I make sure to get plenty of sleep, practice yoga for flexibility, and indulge in self-care activities like bubble baths and meditation.
But perhaps the most important thing I do when I’m not running is to listen to my body. If I’m feeling tired or sore, I know it’s time to take a break and give myself some much-needed rest. By paying attention to how my body feels, I can prevent injuries and stay healthy in the long run.
Ultimately, being a Lazy Girl Running isn’t about being lazy at all. It’s about finding balance in my fitness routine and making sure that running remains a fun and enjoyable activity. So whether I’m hitting the pavement for a long run or taking a day off to recharge, running will always be a part of who I am.
